Super Hot Chocolate

Serves: 1 serving
  • 2 cups of almond milk (or in vitamix, blend 2 cups water, ¼ cup almonds, 3 dates, pinch salt, drop of vanilla. Strain and place back in the blender).
  • 2 Tbl cacao powder
  • ½ Tbl manuka honey
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • sliver of fresh ginger (or a pinch of ground ginger)
  • pinch of sea salt
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • pinch of cayenne
  1. Add all ingredients to a high-speed blender. Blend on high for 2 minutes. Test the temperature of the beverage. If you would like it hotter, blend for another minute and repeat the process until you achieve the desired temperature. (High-speed blender tip: The speed of the blender is so powerful that if ingredients are kept blending long enough they'll be as hot as placing it on the stove). Pour into your favorite mug and garnish with your favorite marshmallows.
  2. If you do not have a high-speed blender, place all ingredients in a blender for about 1 minute or until everything is smooth and creamy. Pour the blend into a small saucepan and heat on low-medium heat until desired temperature is reached (being careful not to bring to a boil).
