Serves: 2 cups
  • 2 cups pecans, raw
  • 1.5 Tbl coconut oil
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup, Grade A (choose Grade B for a more robust maple flavor)
  • ½ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ½ tsp cayenne
  • ⅛ tsp nutmeg, freshly ground
  • ¼ tsp sea salt
  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Place raw pecans on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place in oven and roast for 10 minutes.
  3. While pecans are roasting, bring a dry, large skillet to medium-high heat. Add all spices and salt to dry pan and toss for 15-20 seconds until you can smells the spice’s aromatics. Add coconut oil and maple syrup and reduce heat to low-medium. Stir/whisk for about 1 minute until flavors are well-combined.
  4. Remove roasted pecans from oven and place into maple-spiced skillet. Toss everything together until pecans are well-coated.
  5. Pour pecan mixture onto a piece of parchment paper and allow to cool for 10-15 minutes to create a crunchy texture.
