Video: Maple Pistachio Tart Video: Maple Pistachio TartSeptember 14, 2017 in Holiday, Sweet Treats, Travel, VideoShare ThisFacebookPinterestTwitterPrintemail Video by JustBasl Productions Ingredients Crust 1/2 cup walnuts 1/2 cup pecans 4 dates, pitted 1/2 tsp ground ginger 1/4 tsp sea salt Filling 1 cup cashews 1 Tbl hemp seeds (extra protein!) 2 Tbl maple syrup (use grade A amber) 1 tsp vanilla 1/8 tsp sea salt 1/3-1/2 cup water (depending on how thick you’d like it) Topping 2 cups 100% pomegranate juice 1/4cup pistachios, chopped Directions 1. In a saucepan, bring pomegranate juice to a boil. Keep it at a low boil for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Allow to cool 5-10 minutes to thicken. You will have a syrup consistency. 2. While pomegranate juice is reducing, pour all crust ingredients into a food process and process on high for about 1 minute until fully combined and creates a crumbled texture. Press the crumble into a small tart pan and set aside. 3. Add all filling ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend for about 1 minute until completely smooth. Pour the filling into the crust-lined tart pan. 4. Sprinkle pistachios in the middle of the tart pan. Take a spoon, dip it into the pomegranate syrup, and drizzle it on top. Enjoy!
